In July, we embarked on an ambitious journey, planning a Golden Triangle Ride covering 750 km across some of India’s most iconic destinations. Having previously completed this ride, I was familiar with the route, its challenges, and the hurdles we might face along the way. This foresight allowed us to meticulously plan every detail to ensure a smooth and successful experience. The planning process was a true team effort, with several key people playing crucial roles. My wife, Anuja Walecha, along with Naveen Upadhyay, Bhawna, Piyush and Shashi Singh, helped shape the route, manage the logistics, and address the key aspects of the ride. From selecting control points and coordinating hotel bookings to ensuring proper hydration and technical support, every aspect was covered to make the journey as comfortable and safe as possible for all participants. The ride was not just a test of endurance but also teamwork and resilience. We had 15 riders in total, all of whom completed the entire 750 km journey. The route presented its own set of challenges — long stretches of road, varying weather conditions, and the inevitable fatigue that comes with such an extensive ride. However, the spirit of camaraderie and the excellent preparation we had in place made it possible for everyone to finish successfully.
I am proud to say that the Golden Triangle Ride, with its mix of planning, hard work, and teamwork, turned out to be a remarkable experience. Every rider played a part in making this journey memorable, and I’m grateful to everyone who contributed to its success.
With the support of my team and the determination of the riders, we made this ride not only about personal achievement but also about sharing an adventure. We are already looking forward to the next challenge!
