World Environment Day: Mini Marathon with the theme Clean Noida, Healthy Noida organised by Noida Authority

Noida: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Noida Authority and Company Coforge Limited jointly organized a mini marathon race at Stadium, Sector-21A. Lokesh M, CEO, of Noida Authority, flagged off the marathon race. The theme of this event was ‘Clean Noida, Healthy Noida’. Around 500 runners participated in the race through online and offline registration.

Winners honoured with shields and gifts

Lokesh M. honoured the winners who secured first, second and third positions in the male and female sections of the various categories with shields and gifts. After the marathon, safety kits such as safety jackets, safety shoes, safety gloves, masks etc. were distributed to the employees engaged in cleaning work in the Noida area for convenience and safety of their working. After this, Yogendra Sharma – FONRWA President, KK Jain, Pawan Yadav, NP Singh – DDRWA President and Sanjeev Kumar – General Secretary present in the program, addressed the city residents making them aware of the environment and cleanliness.

Many dignitaries marked their presence

During this, Noida Authority Deputy General Manager (Public Health) SP Singh,  Deputy General Manager (Civil) Vijay Rawal, Project Engineer (Health-I) Gaurav Bansal, Project Engineer (Public Health-II) RK Sharma, Vice President of Company Coforge Limited Manjri Mishra and Manavika Sharma, the entire team of Guided Fortune Committee, all members of ILRT team and other citizens were present.

Tree plantation in the office of the Public Health Department

Apart from this, tree plantation was done in the office premises of Public Health Department of Noida Authority located in Sector-94. During this, saplings were planted and an awareness was created for not polluting the environment. It was appealed to one and all to plant a tree in the park of their homes or offices. An awareness workshop was also organized to increase the protection of the environment, in which information was given about the ill effects of the use of plastic material on the environment. People were urged to make their city green by planting as many trees as possible and to play their role in protecting the environment from getting polluted. Representatives of the company Sunwoda Electronics were also present on this occasion.
