One girl each from IISER-B and ISSER-M gets LR Mundera memorial scholarship worth Rs 1.5 lakh each



CHANDIGARH: Saini Charitable Education Trust, Ropar, distributed scholarships worth Rs 4.76 lakhs to 96 outstanding students pursuing various disciplines. Additionally, two students received scholarships for their research work.
All of this occurred during a function held at the local Saini Bhawan in Ropar.
Among the IISER girls who were awarded scholarships were Ramanpreet from IISER Mohali and Bhavika from IISER Bhopal. Ramanpreet is conducting research in chemistry, while Bhavika is pursuing research in earth and environmental sciences. They were granted the LR Mundra Memorial Scholarship for research. Mohali resident social worker Gurinder Singh ‘Rana’ presented the scholarships and congratulated the management of Saini Bhavan for promoting education through the establishment of an educational Trust. He encouraged students to excel in life through dedicated and diligent study. He also contributed a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the Trust to initiate a new scholarship in his name.
Meanwhile, retired Chief Engineer Panchayati Raj, Tejpal Singh Saini, unveiled the quarterly magazine “Saini Sansar.”
The senior vice president of Kaka Ram Saini Charitable Trust, Gurmukh Singh Saini, President of Saini Charitable Education Trust, Rajinder Saini, Chairman Balbir Singh Saini, and Secretary Amarjit Singh also addressed the gathering on the occasion.
