Noida: On May 1, various schools in the country including Delhi-Noida NCR were threatened with bombs through email. Due to this, the school management, students and their parents remained distressed throughout the day. The police, fire brigade, bomb disposal squad, and intelligence agency were investigating the matter throughout the day. This threatening e-mail was later called a rumour.
A case has been registered against an unknown in police station Sector 20 in the case of threatening e-mails to bomb more than 100 schools including DPS in Noida. This action has been taken on the complaint of the sub-inspector of the police station. The police have started investigating it in collaboration with cyber experts.

Lakhan Singh, Sub Inspector posted at Sector 20, has lodged a report in the Police Station that on May 1, 2024, Wednesday, it was received that Delhi Public School Sector 30 had received a threatening e-mail. Police reached the school and the school management provided him with a copy of the threatening e-mail. After examining the e-mail, the Sub Inspector has filed a case in the Police Station Sector 20. In this case, a case has been registered against an unknown under sections 505, 507 and 66 IT Act.”
