MPPSC to include 150 more ‘disqualified candidates’ in SSE-2019 interview

Indore:Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) officials decided to include around 150 more ‘disqualified candidates’ in the interview process of the State Service Examination 2019 following court direction.
The commission earlier included 240 candidates in the SSE-2019 interview process on court directions. So, a total of around 390 candidates, who were disqualified following revision of results along with normalisation, would be part of the interview process.
MPPSC OSD R Panchbhai told TOI, “Around 150 candidates from the 1918 list of candidates would be included in the SSE-2019 interview process in accordance with MP high court directions.”
The commission in January revised the prelims result for a third time and was notified to hold special mains in April. The commission then announced a combined result of mains and special mains carrying out normalisation declaring 1983 as qualified.
This normalisation of results led to the exclusion of around 390 qualified for interviews from the earlier list of 1918 candidates. The list of 1918 candidates will be declared in January 2022.
The recruitment process started with an advertisement in 2019. The MPPSC conducted prelims of the examination on January 12, 2020, wherein over three lakh candidates have appeared.
Around 10,000 were declared qualified and mains examinations were conducted in March third week in 2021. The result of the main examination was declared in January 2022.
The commission was to hold an interview for the examination. Before it could be held, the direction from the MP High Court led to a revision of the result in October.
Then again, the matter went before the court, and it was directed for holding special mains and issuing combined results with normalisation.
