Radha Sky Garden: The swimming pool filter is not working, health of residents is at stake, Outcrying residents request authority to intervene

Greater Noida West: Residents of Shri Radha Sky Garden Society located in Greater Noida West have accused the society of not keeping the swimming pool clean. Many residents and children have fallen ill after bathing in the pool.

Mohit Gupta, Resident of Shri Radha Sky Garden says, “My 5-year-old son has been suffering from stomach pain and vomiting for the last 2-3 days. The doctor says that the infection has occurred due to contaminated water entering the stomach. Before the complaint of stomach pain started, the child had bathed in the pool, during which some water had gone inside.“

Ever since the swimming pool of Shri Radha Sky Garden was opened last week, huge irregularities have been observed. At the request of the residents, Anita Nagar sports officer, visited and thoroughly inspected every part of the pool. The water of both the children’s and adults’ pools was found to be extremely dirty. None of the pool filters were working properly and the water accumulated in the fountain area was stinking and rotting.

‘No safety equipment was found in the pool’

Satya Prakash Yadav, a resident of Radha Sy Gardens says, “None of the lifeguards deployed in the pool had a YMCA certificate, none were in uniform and none had a life-saving jacket! No safety equipment was found in the pool! Many residents also showed videos of dogs bathing in the pool! The Sports Officer inspected every corner for an hour and also inspected the filter room and the Sports Officer has assured all the residents that the pool will be put in order within the next two days.”
