The reward of Rs 50,000 for information about alleged dog killer in Greater Noida West

Greater Noida West: In Gautam Budh Nagar, the conflict between people suffering from dogs and people running NGOs to protect dog rights is not new, but this conflict has now started giving rise to a big controversy. Dog lover groups and dog-afflicted residents are seen standing face to face every other day over issues of dogs.

A reward of Rs 50,000 !!!

In such a situation, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), an organization working for animal rights, has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the arrest of the person accused of allegedly killing a dog by throwing it. A demand has also been made to the police for early arrest of the accused.

Know what is the matter

On May 9, 2024, A dog died after falling from a high-rise building in Ajnara Homes Society, Greater Noida West, Sector 16B, where animal lovers alleged that a resident had thrown it from the high building. After being thrown, the dog died. Following this, on demand of many animal lovers, the police registered a case in this regard against three people including the AOA president in Bisarkh police station.

Dog lovers accused the AOA of this mishap

Chandan Sinha, AOA President, says, “I keep a dog in the house and also make arrangements for society dogs. If a dog dies after falling from a height it is wrong to accuse the president. Two people named in the FIR were not even present in the society at that time. There is no evidence of any dog being killed in the CCTV footage present in the society. This is just politics to put pressure on the residents by making the dispute bigger based on apprehension.”

It has also released PETA’s number and email ID for information about those accused of allegedly killing the dog. The coordinator of the organization, Sunaina Basu says, “Bisrakh police station has been asked to show promptness in this matter.”
