Greater Noida West: There is a huge ruckus going on in this society, regarding the paintwork. Residents have alleged that the AOA has given the contract of 92 lakh without any discussion and no safety protocols are being followed neither in the paintwork nor in the repair work so far. And this is the height, that the money has been deducted from their meters.
Ajay Singh, AOA says, “The condition of many buildings of the society is not good at all. In such a situation, the AOA board members decided to get it painted. Three General Body Meetings (GBM) were also held with AOA members and residents.
He further says, “The decision to get the society painted was taken only after the consent of the flat owners and separate quotations were also called for this. The tender worth Rs 78 Lakh was finalised including tax which cost around Rs 92 lakhs. People were given information related to society’s paint a month ago. We fully followed the UP Apartment Act.”
70% of people have paid the amount happily
Ajay Singh also informed that the Flat buyers were given 3 options for payment which included online method, Payment through the cheque and from the. Depending on the flat size, the amount was fixed at Rs 12638-18692 including GST. Ajay Singh says that 70% of people have also paid for it. But some people are exaggerating this for their political gains. Because AOA elections are to be held in the society after some time.
Residents of the society also allege that the former chairman showed too much hurriedness in taking the handover without any MOT. If this work had been done by the builder at that time, then today the money would not have been deducted from the pockets, whereas the provision says that before taking the handover, the responsibility for paint and other things is of the builder. If they had not been in this kind of hurry that time, things would have been different. Some residents say that current AOA Ajay Singh is working for the betterment of society.
