NEW DELHI: The Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) is gearing up for elections on September 27, 2023.
Incumbent chief Dr A K Bhagi is once again contesting for presidentship.
The current DUTA leadership has faced several challenges over the last few years, including ad-hocism at Delhi University.
Dr Bhagi has been credited for addressing the issue of regularization of ad-hoc teachers through agitation and negotiations.
Currently, National Democratic Teachers’ Front (NDTF)-led DUTA has the credit of regularising more than 2,800 teachers and 10,000 unit promotions at DU departments and colleges.
Amid many issues, the full past service count and Old Pension Scheme (OPS) are at the top priority in NDTF-led DUTA’s future agenda.
