Noida: To promote electric vehicles in Noida and the Greater Noida area of Gautam Buddha Nagar district and ensure lift safety in multi-storey buildings. For this, a meeting was held in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Atul Kumar.
What was discussed in the meeting
Lifts are still running without registration in some societies of the district, which can pose a threat to the safety of citizens. On the other hand, the number of electric vehicles is increasing rapidly, but EV charging stations have been established less in various societies.

Solutions to all problems discussed
Showing seriousness on these points, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue directed Chief Engineer Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited Gautam Buddha Nagar and General Manager NPCL Greater Noida to make all the federation officials of the district as aware as possible about the government policies for private charging and commercial charging points in various societies and conduct a survey to identify suitable places for EV charging stations.

the service provider has been directed for an EV charging point survey. The Additional District Magistrate directed the General Manager NPCL Greater Noida to ensure arrangements for EV charging points by them too.

Legal action will be taken on unregistered lifts
legal action will be taken against the lifts which have not been registered in the district after May 15. He told all the society officials that it is mandatory to get registered within the stipulated time limit, otherwise administrative action will be taken.
Additional District Magistrate
Assistant Director of Electrical Safety Ramesh Kumar gave detailed information on the registration process, necessary documents and safety standards of lift operation in the meeting.
