Noida : Uttar Pradesh government to provide relief to flat buyers under the Zero Period Policy implemented on the recommendations of the Amitabh Kant Committee are getting a setback due to the indifference of the builders.
Noida Authority has taken action against 27 builders
The efforts made by the Uttar Pradesh government to provide relief to flat buyers under the Zero Period Policy implemented on the recommendations of the Amitabh Kant Committee are getting a setback due to the indifference of the builders. Noida Authority has sent notices to 27 such builders, who are not depositing the outstanding amount even after giving consent under the policy.
Zero period benefits may end
Noida Authority has made it clear that if the builders do not deposit the outstanding amount soon, then they will not get the Zero Period benefit. This policy was implemented to provide relief to flat buyers, but the inaction of the builders has disrupted this effort.
Irregularities in payment of dues
Noida Authority officials informed that among the builders who received the notice, there were many who did not agree to the policy. The registry process was kept pending or only partial payment of the total dues was made. Along with this, some builders did not pay the installments on time even after depositing 25 percent of the dues.
