Devara: Part 1’ Surpasses ₹200 Crore in India, Boosted by Gandhi Jayanti Holiday

The much-anticipated film ‘Devara: Part 1,’ starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, hit cinemas on Friday and has taken the box office by storm. With an impressive opening collection of ₹82.5 crore across all languages in India, the movie has established itself as a major player in the market.

Released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, ‘Devara’ has particularly excelled in the Telugu market. Notably, the Hindi version has also shown significant growth, reflecting its appeal to a broader audience.

Despite its grand opening, the film experienced a decline in earnings over the weekend, bringing in ₹38 crore on Saturday and ₹39 crore on Sunday. The Monday drop was expected, as collections fell around 68%, with the film earning approximately ₹12.75 crore on that day. However, the film gained a significant boost from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Day 6 (Wednesday, October 2), where it garnered around ₹20.50 crore. This surge has brought the domestic total collection to an impressive ₹207.85 crore.

Crossing the ₹200 crore mark within just six days is a commendable feat for ‘Devara,’ showcasing its strong box office presence. As the film faces slight competition from ‘Joker 2,’ it continues to dominate the market, especially as the footfalls for ‘Stree 2’ have begun to diminish.

Looking ahead, there is optimism that ‘Devara’ will see further growth in the coming weekend as word-of-mouth and audience enthusiasm continue to propel its success. With its stellar cast and engaging storyline, ‘Devara: Part 1’ is poised to remain a favorite among moviegoers for weeks to come.

As fans eagerly await the next installment, it’s clear that ‘Devara’ has set the stage for a successful franchise.
